Preparation Steps
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, and sugar. Add the butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Slowly add the ice water, mixing until the dough comes together. Form into a disc, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). In a separate bowl, mix the sliced plums with the cornstarch, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon juice.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface and place it on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Arrange the plum mixture in the center, leaving a border.
- Fold the edges of the dough over the plums. Brush the crust with milk. Bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown.
