Preparation Steps
- In a large bowl, beat the mascarpone cheese with sugar until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture.
- Briefly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee and layer them in a serving dish.
- Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
- Add a layer of cherry compote, then repeat with another layer of coffee-dipped ladyfingers and mascarpone mixture.
- Dust with cocoa powder and sprinkle dark chocolate shavings on top.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
For an extra touch, garnish with fresh cherries before serving.
