Christmas can be really really hectic. There’s a whole lot to do, and yet you’ve got to feed the plenty of mouths around. (uggh!!!). Well, worry no more as there’s a recipe to gladden your heart. This Christmas sausage casserole is easy..like really almost ridiculously easy to make, doesn’t require many ingredients and yet, it’s super delish. I mean, I wonder why this has Christmas in its name. It should be named “everyday sausage casserole” because I could eat this everyday. This is just excellent when you’ve got all your family gathered round. You should try it

I admit there’s a bit of nostalgia with this recipe. It was a Christmas staple in my childhood home, and now whenever I make it, I’m taken back to those Christmas mornings when we would gather around and savor the deliciousness of this meal. In just four simple steps, you have something that will send your family into massive excitement.

This Christmas breakfast casserole is flavorful and has all of the essential breakfast food groups ;). There’s savory sausage, hearty bread, and a creamy egg in this dish. It’s essentially a one-pan supper, and who doesn’t like that?

This does not require preparation the night before, but it does necessitate some chill time. It’s great for breakfast with the family or brunch with friends, so give it a try!

What you need

1 teaspoon mustard powder

1 pound ground pork sausage

3 large eggs, beaten

½ teaspoon salt

8 ounces shredded mild cheddar cheese

2 cups of milk

6 cups white bread, toasted and cut into dice

How to make

Step 1:

Put the sausage into a medium skillet, and let it cook over medium heat until it is evenly brown.

Step 2:

Mix the mustard powder, salt, eggs and milk in a medium sized bowl, then add the sausage, bread dice, and cheese, to the mustard powder mix and coat well with the mix.

Step 3:

Transfer to a prepared dish, spread it out and then place the dish in the fridge for 8 hours, or more.

Step 4:
